Project Description:

The proponent has a submitted a proposal for a five-year operating plan for Forest Management District 20. District 20 covers an area of 2.2 million hectares and is located on the south coast of Labrador. The undertaking will enable the harvesting of approximately 150,425 cubic metres of timber and the construction of approximately 14 kilometres of primary forest access road.

• August 28, 2019 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 4, 2019 – Deadline for public comments.
• October 12, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• January 27, 2020 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
