Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct and operate a 22 hectare R.V. Park & Campground near Southern Bay on the Bonavista peninsula. The proposed 130-unit park will be built over a three to four year period and will be serviced with internet, sanitary sewer, water, fire pit, picnic table and electrical services. Access is planned from Route 230 to the south and another access will be constructed to connect with the former rail bed to the north of the park.

• April 22, 2021 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 28, 2021 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 6, 2021 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 20, 2021 – The Minister’s decision is due (extended).
• July 7, 2021 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
• September 10, 2021 – The Minister announced appeals of the decision.
• October 28, 2022 – The Minister approved Condition of Release
