Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to develop an asphalt shingle recycling facility at 75 Sugarloaf Road in St. John’s. Construction would include site clearing, grading, paving, and installation of equipment including a grinder, asphalt recycler, truck scales and a scale house. Recycled asphalt pavement would be used for road construction and maintenance.

• October 3, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• November 7, 2025 – Deadline for public comment.
• November 17, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 19, 2025 – The Minister determined the project is released.
