Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to expand the existing Ming Mine on the Baie Verte Peninsula. The project will involve the extraction of copper-rich critical minerals by expanding its current operation. Project components include underground mining infrastructure, a processing plant, tailing management facility, haul roads, transmission lines, water intake, concentrate storage and handling, and accommodation and camp facilities.

• April 22, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• May 27, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• June 6, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• June 6, 2025 – The Minister determined that the project is released.
