Applications are closed for the 2025-26 Community Addictions Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Fund.
The Community Addictions Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Fund Program provides financial support to individuals, community groups, schools and non-profit organizations interested in increasing awareness and understanding of mental health and addictions in Newfoundland and Labrador. To receive funding, applications must act on at least one of the following priority areas:
- Suicide prevention;
- Supporting mental health and wellness;
- Prevention of alcohol-related harms; and/or
- Community partnerships to promote positive mental health and resilience.
Funding is administered by the Department of Health and Community Services in partnership with Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services. Regional health zones have dedicated mental health promotion and addiction prevention staff available to provide advice and support to interested applicants.
