The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador recognizes that social inclusion provides many benefits for health and well-being.

The Seniors’ Social Inclusion Initiative supports seniors organizations across Newfoundland and Labrador to organize and promote activities and programs that support social inclusion, healthy aging, mental wellness, and overall well-being.

Two hundred grants are available in the amount of $1,000 each.

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be based in Newfoundland and Labrador and funding must be used for projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Be a not-for-profit organization that serves seniors and older adults (applications from individuals will not be considered).
  • If incorporated, be in good standing with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s registry of companies.
