Project Description:

The Proponent is proposing to rebuild their 146L transmission line which extends 40.7 kilometres between the Towns of Gander and Gambo in Central Newfoundland. The proposed work would include reconstruction of the transmission line where continued maintenance is no longer feasible, as well as brush clearing, the installation of poles and supporting infrastructure, and the dismantling and disposal of decommissioned materials. The work would be completed between 2024 and 2026.

• August 31, 2023 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 5, 2023 – Deadline for public comments.
• October 15, 2023 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• October 12, 2023 – The Minister had determined the project is released.
• December 18, 2024 – The Minster has accepted the Waste Managment Plan.
