Miss Shannon joins us with stories from the cabin featuring a reading from the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture’s ‘The Green Crab Invasion’ followed by a reading of ‘Charley, A Day in The Bay’ with Shannon Fisher.

‘The Green Crab Invasion’ is co-authored by Miss Fisher and highlights the adventures of Harry the Rock Crab, Harriet the Atlantic Cod and Harold the American Lobster. All hope seems to be lost for these species when invasive European Green Crab – the crabbiest crabs in the ocean – invade their Newfoundland and Labrador ocean home. It takes a helping human hand to restore hope in North Harbour!

‘Charley, A Day in The Day’ follows the journey of Charley, a young cod fish who learns about the importance of cod to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. In this touching and informative story, Charley soon realizes that not only do people need cod fish, but sometimes cod fish need help too.
