A patient required to travel for Specialized Insured Medical Services unavailable in their area of residence may be eligible for financial assistance through MTAP.

Assisted costs may include economy airfare (and related eligible taxi fares), private vehicle mileage rate, busing, ferries, purchased and private accommodations, and meal per diems.
